Hockey Manitoba is excited to announce the launch of the Female Coach Development Group for the 2021 – 2022 season. The Female Coach Development Group will be led by three Female Master Coach Developers (Sarah Zacharias, Ashley van Aggelen, and Regan Boulton) and will provide female coaches in Manitoba with support and mentorship throughout the upcoming season.

With the start of the new season right around the corner, Hockey Manitoba is committed to the ongoing support and development of female coaches in our province. As the female game continues to grow in Manitoba, the importance of having strong and confident female coaches is becoming increasingly vital to the success of our female athletes. As an organization, we feel that the best way to further the development of our female coaches is with consistent and ongoing mentorship that runs the course of an entire season.

The Female Coach Development Group is open to all active and non-active female hockey coaches in Manitoba. Coaches who register for the development group will be able to participate in monthly group calls through Zoom and will receive monthly updates that will include information on different coaching topics applicable to certain parts of the season.

Registered coaches will also be placed into smaller groups where they will be mentored by one of our three Female Master Coach Developers. Coaches will also be provided with opportunities in the fall to attend certification clinics and specialty clinics with other female coaches and hosted by female facilitators.

There is no fee to join the Female Coach Development Group and registration will be open until September 7th, 2021. All female coaches interested in being a part of the Female Coach Development Group for the 2021 – 2022 season are encouraged to register via the link below:

Ashley, Sarah and Regan are all designated Female Master Coach Developers and have been trained by Hockey Canada as a part of a National Female Coach Developer group.
