Hockey Manitoba saddened by the passing of Helen Hoeppner

Hockey Manitoba is saddened to report that longtime hockey volunteer, Helen Hoeppner of Winkler passed away Tuesday January 19th at Salem Home, Winkler.

Helen was involved in the game for nearly 40 years and was honored by Hockey Manitoba as the Volunteer of the Year in 2006 for her long term commitment and dedication to the sport.

Helen, age 70,is survived by her husband Henry, 3 daughters, 1 son and their families. The funeral service for Helen Hoeppner NEE Klassen will be held this Saturday, 2pm at the Morden E.M.M. Church with burial at Hillside Cemetery. Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden tomorrow from 1-7pm and at the church prior to the service.

Donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden.
