Jennifer Botterill & Travis Zajac added to Hot Stove panel

WINNIPEG, MB – Hockey Manitoba is pleased to announce that Jennifer Botterill and Travis Zajac have been added to the special guest panel for the Hockey Manitoba Hot Stove taking place on Friday August, 12th at Canad Inns Polo Park in Winnipeg. The Hockey Manitoba Hot Stove will feature discussion on athlete and coach development with expert opinions from the special guest panel along with an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and discuss key points throughout the evening. This special event takes place during the same period as the Hockey Manitoba Coach Camp which spans from August 9th – 14th in Winnipeg.

Jennifer Botterill (Winnipeg) will join the special guest panel to provide insight based on her playing career which had her attend 4 Olympic Games, winning 3 Olympic Gold Medals along with winning 5 IIHF World Championships and 2 IIHF World Championship MVP awards from 1997 – 2011. Also providing excellent player insight will be Travis Zajac currently of the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League (NHL) who has also represented Team Canada at the IIHF World Championships. In 2011-12, Zajac will be entering his 6th season in the NHL where he currently marks 408 GP – 89 G – 160 A – 249 Pts, all with New Jersey.

The Hockey Manitoba Hot Stove is open to all members of the hockey community such as coaches, players, parents, officials and volunteers. Complimentary snacks will be provided and all participants will be entered to win great door prizes including several tickets to a Winnipeg Jets home game this season. Doors for the event will open at 6:30 PM, with the Hockey Manitoba Hot Stove starting at 7:00 PM at Canad Inns Polo Park in Winnipeg. COACH CAMP UPDATE:

Limited registration openings remain available for Coach Camp Option B & C, meanwhile Coach Camp Option A has reached capacity and is now closed.
