Women’s U18 POE coaching staff named for 2027 Canada Winter Games/ Top-68 Roster released
WINNIPEG, MB – Hockey Manitoba is excited to announce the coaching staff for the 2026-27 Women’s Under-18 (U18) Program of Excellence. We are also excited to release the roster for the Top-68 Camp, coming up from February 14-16, 2026 at Scotiabank hockey for all centre in Winnipeg.
Women’s U18 Team Manitoba will be led by Jordyn Zacharias (Winnipeg) who is currently an Assistant Coach with the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s Winnipeg Monarchs. This will be Jordyn’s first year as a coach within the Women’s U18 POE program. She was previously a coach within the Girls U16 Program of Excellence. Zacharias was the Interim Head Coach of the University of Manitoba Bisons women’s hockey team for two seasons after serving as the Assistant Coach for two seasons. Prior to coaching with the Bisons, Zacharias was an on-ice instructor at the RINK Training Centre for four years. Zacharias played four seasons with the University of Manitoba Bisons women’s hockey team, winning a U Sport National Championship in 2018.
Zacharias will be joined by Assistant Coaches Brendan Edie (Morden) and Kelsey McHolm (Winnipeg). This will be Edie’s third year as a coach within the Women’s U18 POE program. He was an assistant coach for U18 Team Manitoba last season and prior to that served as the video coach. Edie has coached with the Pembina Valley Hawks AAA program for six seasons. He has spent time as the Head Coach of the Pembina Valley Hawks Male U18 AAA team and prior to that, he coached the Pembina Valley Hawks Male U15 AAA for two seasons. Edie also coached the Morden Thunder in the Zone 4 High School League (2017-2018) and has over a decade of player development experience.
This will be Kelsey McHolm’s first time as a coach within the Women’s U18 POE program. McHolm is currently the Head Coach of the Female U18 AAA Interlake Lightning. She previously worked with the Girls’ U16 POE. Kelsey was an Assistant Coach for the University of Manitoba Bisons Women’s Hockey team for the 2024/2025 season. In 2023, Kelsey was the Hockey Operations Coordinator/Assistant Coach for the Balmoral Hall Blazers of the CSSHL.
The Women’s U18 POE staff will coach the province’s top 20 players born in 2009, 2010 and 2011 at the 2027 Canada Winter Games, taking place March 7-15, 2027, in Quebec City.
Director of Operations for the Women’s U18 POE is Bernie Reichardt (Hockey Manitoba). Assistant Director of Operations is Stephanie Keith (Hockey Manitoba).

Hockey Manitoba is pleased to release the roster for the 2026 Women’s Under-18 Program of Excellence Top – 68 Camp which will be held from February 14 – 16, 2026 at hockey for all centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
This camp will be the first phase of Hockey Manitoba Women’s U18 Program of Excellence which is designed to provide high performance female players with the opportunity to develop advanced skills as well as an introduction to the concepts needed to play at an elite level. Players from the Program of Excellence go on to play at the U Sport, NCAA and International level.
The Women’s U18 POE Top-68 Camp will see a total of sixty-eight (68) athletes invited, comprised of thirty-six (36) forwards, twenty-four (24) defenders, and eight (8) goaltenders.
The Top-68 Camp will see athletes participating in intra-squad exhibition games and a goalie skill session designed to provide instructions on skills and concepts directly related to the U18 Team Manitoba Principles of Play. All programming throughout the duration of the camp will be led by the Women’s U18 Coaching staff.
Following the Top-68 Camp, approximately forty players will be invited to the Women’s U18 POE Top-40 Camp which will be held from May 21 – 24, 2026 at Southeast Event Centre in Steinbach.
